The CPU and Motherboard
For the CPU, we have chosen the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X. This chip offers high core and thread counts, making it suitable for multitasking workloads, video editing, streaming, rendering, and gaming. We will be installing it into the MSI X670 Tomahawk Wi-Fi motherboard. This board provides top-end features, including PCI G5 overclocking for the CPU and memory, as well as ample power delivery for the Ryzen 7 7700X.
The Storage and Memory
For storage, we have the Seagate FireCuda 540 SSD. This drive offers rapid read and write speeds of 10 Gbps, making it an excellent choice for gaming. We are also adding 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB memory, which is more than enough for gaming purposes. If you require higher-end video editing or rendering, you may opt for 64GB of DDR5 memory.
The Case and Cooling
The centerpiece of this build is the Enz XT H6 Flow case. This case features a dual-chamber design, allowing for efficient airflow and easy visibility of all the components. Building the PC
Now that we have discussed all the components, it’s time to assemble the PC. We start by installing the CPU onto the motherboard, followed by the memory. Next, we install the Seagate FireCuda 540 SSD. Once the motherboard assembly is complete, we place it into the Enz XT H6 Flow case. We attach the CPU cooler, fans, GPU, and power supply. Finally, we tidy up the cables and close the case.
Performance Testing
With the PC built, it’s time to test its performance. We ran several games at different resolutions and settings to evaluate the system’s capabilities. In Starfield at 1440p, the average frame rate was 92 FPS, indicating smooth gameplay. Hogwarts Legacy performed well at 1440p, with an average frame rate of 109 FPS. In Warzone 2 at 4K with FSR enabled, the average frame rate was 104 FPS. For competitive gaming, Fortnite at 1080p achieved over 300 FPS, and Apex Legends at 4K high settings reached an average of 163 FPS.
